Jake Hager (Jack Swagger) won the Money in the Bank briefcase in 2010. He’d go on to cash-in the contract against Chris Jericho on SmackDown to win the World Heavyweight Championship.
During his appearance on Captain’s Corner, Hager talked about his experience competing in the chaotic ladder match.
“It was so much fun. It was cool, and it had so many good wrestlers in there that like all worked to make me look great in it … Little known secret, I was terrified at the top of the ladder, yeah. I wouldn’t take another step.”
Hager’s World Heavyweight Championship reign didn’t last for the longest time. Ironically, he’d lost the title at the first ever Money in the Bank PPV to Rey Mysterio.
