Wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Jake “The Snake” Roberts spoke about the brawl following All Out 2022 on his DDP Snake Pit podcast.
Roberts, never known to mince words, spoke very candidly about what went down following the show involving CM Punk, Ace Steel, Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks, and several backstage talent and coaches. He said:
“It’s none of my damn business and it’s none of the fans’ business either. Stupid s*** happens in this world every day, and I just hate that these young guys chose a fight when they did. I’m sure that they’re regretting it, and I think that they know the best thing they can do is turn the belts over to a tournament. It was wise and go AEW, man. I’m all for you guys, I love you guys to death. You know, I’m still employed there.”
In the wake of the post-scrum scuffle, all parties involved were suspended for an undisclosed amount of time, Punk was stripped of the AEW World Championship, and Omega and the Bucks were stripped of the AEW Trios Championship. A third-party investigation into the event is still ongoing.
