Jeff Hardy may not be facing trial after all as a possible resolution could be reached following his pre-trial hearing scheduled for today being delayed.

In June, Hardy was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, his third DUI in under ten years.

Hardy had been scheduled for a pre-trial hearing today, but Pwinsider reports that it is no longer going ahead.

Hardy’s attorneys “recently provided extensive mitigation materials to the counsel for the State” and it is reported that “the parties require additional time to negotiate a potential pretrial resolution.”

If a resolution is reached, Hardy will not face trial, and his pre-trial hearing has now been pushed back to November 17.

If the case goes to trial and Hardy is prosecuted, he faces a maximum of five years in prison.

Hardy has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him and has waived his right to a speedy trial.

AEW President Tony Khan has said this is Jeff’s one and only chance to improve in the promotion.
