According to reports, Jeff Jarrett met with a top executive from SpikeTV regarding the possibility of TNA iMPACT! Wrestling returning to the network in the United States. Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Spike TV senior vice president and executive producer Scott Fishman was backstage at Sunday’s iMPACT! Wrestling TV tapings in Orlando, Florida and met with Jarrett about a variety of topics. One of the topics discussed was the new management team now leading TNA and whether a return of iMPACT! Wrestling to the network would be a possibility.
Fishman was an executive producer for Bellator on SpikeTV. He was also an executive producer on the Kimbo Slice: One of a Kind documentary. Fishman was also heavily involved in developing iMPACT! in the show’s early days.
As of this writing, there is no word on how the talks between the two went or if it’s possible that TNA iMPACT! Wrestling may be returning to SpikeTV once their current contract with POP TV is up.
As reported last week here on eWrestlingNews.com, TNA iMPACT! Wrestling is returning to SpikeTV in the UK starting in April. Several promos for the UK debut were shot during the TV tapings this weekend.
