Following his leave of absence as co-owner of Global Force Wrestling, Jeff Jarrett will be making his return to in-ring action on September 16th as a part of Universal Championship Wrestling’s “Fury Road” event. Jarrett will be teaming up with Chris Michaels to take on the Maddox Brothers, who are the promoters for the event.
The event will be in Owensboro, Kentucky inside of the Sportscenter. Jarrett had the following to say when speaking to Keith Lawrence of the Messenger-Inquirer while promoting the event:
Here are a few of his comments:
Jarrett: “It’s a great venue and Owensboro is a great wrestling town. I’m glad to be coming back there. Wrestling is still an enormous industry, my family has been in wrestling for more than 70 years. My grandmother was a promoter, my father was a promoter, I’ve been a promoter. It’s evolved.”
“The NFL is a true sport, we’re not, we’re sports entertainment.”
“I don’t like to look in the rear-view mirror. I like to look forward. It’s [wrestling] just evolved.”
Other performers such as Al Snow, James Storm, EC3, Road Warrior Animal and many others are set for the “Fury Road” card.
