Ohio Valley Wrestling is going strong as we head in to the new year, as the promotion hosts its next major event called OVW Nightmare Rumble. It will air live on Fite TV on January 5, 2022, from the Davis Arena in Louisville, Kentucky. We received word from the OVW National Heavyweight Champion “Mr. PEC-Tacular” Jessie Godderz, that he will be defending his title against Chris Adonis (fka Chris Masters). He has held the title for a record 447+ day reign since claiming it on September 29, 2020.
Jessie Godderz says his defense against Chris Adonis is a “LEGEND vs. LEGEND DREAM MATCH fans have been waiting for”. Adonis responded to the champ by saying “I know you’re joking, but this will be a damn good match. Unless all you care about is flips and high spots, then it might not be for you”. Meanwhile, OVW’s Twitter has its own statement: “Holy biceps! People have been waiting YEARS for this match and it’s going down at Nightmare Rumble! OVW National Heavyweight Champion @MrPEC_Tacular defends against the NWA National Heavyweight Champion @ChrisAdonis!!!
Also, the card will feature OVW going “Over The Top”, with a Rumble match allowing one lucky winner the chance to chase their championship dreams. Tickets are available at ovwrestling.com, with prices set at $20 for Rampside Seating and $15 for General Admission. All tickets will be $5 more on the day.
