— Jim Cornette has fired back at Vince Russo in their never-ended war of words. After Russo said last week that he contacted Vince McMahon and offered to help out with the product, Cornette said on his “The Jim Cornette Experience” podcast that he “has it on good authority” that Russo has emailed WWE on a weekly basis trying to get a job after each episode of RAW. Cornette said that Russo has yet to figure out that everyone sees through his shtick and doesn’t want him back.

— During the latest edition of his podcast, Eric Bischoff discusses the evolution of the wrestling business and how to program to appeal to a large audience…

“I don’t necessarily like the more robust high flying antics of guys like The Young Bucks. That’s just me but I’m 62 years old. I also understand that the business evolves. The one thing that I remind myself of, almost every single day, is that you can’t program content for your own personal taste. Sooner or later you are going to be out of your own demo and there is just not going to be enough of you to support your business model. I learned that from Ted Turner by the way. Ted Turner used to have in one of his manifestos, “Don’t program the network for your own taste. Open it up.” If you only appeal to people just like you then you are appealing to a very small audience. I remembered that. As much as I may prefer a 70s, 80s or even early-90s kind of format I am also a big fan of the business and I understand it evolves and changes. It’s no different than the music business.”
