According to Dave Meltzer, Jim Cornette is done with Impact Wrestling. The company is hosting Bound For Glory in Canada, and Cornette is not allowed into Canada due to several assault charges on his record.
There isn’t any heat between the two sides. Jarrett brought Cornette in to shake the company up, e.g. stripping El Patron of the title, firing Bruce Prichard so that he could be a heel manager, and attempting to make Anthem Sports & Entertainment “good guys” to the wrestling fans.
Because Jarrett is no longer with the company, the two creative staff members, Scott D’Amore and Sonjay, are reported to be more focused on wrestling than authority figure storylines.
Meltzer also says that Cornette agreed to come to Nashville and do whatever needed on camera to write him off. There’s currently nothing set in that regard.
