WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross has cleared up any rumors regarding his status with AXS TV. Ross noted that his departure doesn’t have anything to do with New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) or AXS. His contract with them will expire at the end of the year and he legally can not negotiate a new deal with them due to his contractual status with WWE.
Unfortunately, Ross won’t be able to commentate Wrestle Kingdom 13. Ross’ affiliation with WWE hadn’t been an issue for him to continue his AXS work until now. Ross won’t be able to negotiate a new AXS deal until his deal with WWE expires. Ross’ contract with WWE doesn’t end until March. Ross Tweeted out the following on the matter:
