AEW analyst and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross appeared on Sports Media Podcast With Richard Deitsch (via POST Wrestling) to discuss his interview for the hit television series, “Dark Side of the Ring”, where he talked about the infamous “Plane Ride From Hell” that took place back in 2002 in WWE.

Here is what Ross had to say about the experience:

Yesterday, I spent four hours with the Dark of the Ring guys here in my home in Florida and talked about the plane ride from hell. I told them in the beginning, I said, ‘I don’t like this topic, I don’t like remembering this bullshit.’ It was a bad day at the office, it was one of the more darker days during my tenure as head of talent relations but it’s going to make a hell of a special for Dark Side of the Ring that was spawned by what they heard Conrad and I talking about on this podcast (Grilling’ JR).

For those who are unaware, the “Plane Ride From Hell” is an infamous series of incidents that took place in May 2002. This plane ride involved multiple members of WWE staff and Superstars, fueled by alcohol and likely pills, in certain cases. Among the stories included is a fight between Brock Lesnar and the late Curt Henning (Mr. Perfect), Ric Flair disrobing in the nude and other issues. The result of this plane ride caused the termination of Curt Henning and Scott Hall, who were released by WWE.
