Prior to a segment on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite broadcast, Jim Ross mistakenly referred to Kenny Omega, the current AEW World Champion, as the “WWE Champion”. This was obviously a huge botch on JR’s part, but fans couldn’t help but poke fun at “Good Ol’ JR” over the spot.
Eventually, word got back to the real WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre, and he took to Twitter to comment:
