Next week’s title unification match between AEW World Champion CM Punk and Interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley could be one of the promotion’s biggest matches ever, according to Jim Ross.

On this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Punk laid out the challenge for the match to happen at All Out in September, but Moxley later suggested having the match on next week’s Dynamite.

On his podcast, Grilling JR, the WWE Hall of Famer turned AEW commentator had high expectations for the match.

“Everyone wants to see him [Punk] and Moxley beat the sh*t out of each other. You can count your bottom dollar that’s what they’re going to do. They both have that pride.

“It’s going to be, arguably, the biggest main event we’ve ever had considering all the ramifications going in and injuries and all these things.”

Punk won the AEW World Championship from ‘Hangman’ Adam Page at Double or Nothing but has been out since June with a foot injury.

Moxley captured the Interim AEW World Championship at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, defeating Hiroshi Tanahashi.
