TMZ is reporting that indy professional wrestler Joey Ryan is divorcing his wife, fellow professional wrestler, Laura James.
The couple made headlines several years ago in 2016 when Ryan proposed to James inside the ring after their intergender match at Finest City Wrestling in San Diego. James said yes, and the pair were subsequently married. However, TMZ notes that the couple was soon separated 11 months after getting married in November of 2017.
They only officially filed for divorce this past Tuesday. James noted in the divorce documents that the decision was made due to “irreconcilable differences.”
