John Cena has shared his thoughts on the Vince McMahon scandal that resulted in the billionaire’s retirement last July.
After multiple Wall Street Journal reports revealed that McMahon had paid millions in non-disclosure agreements, McMahon stepped down from WWE following allegations of misconduct with female employees.
This retirement ended in January of this year when McMahon strong-armed his way back onto the board of directors, and he has since been appointed Executive Chairman.
Speaking to AP News, John Cena was asked about the allegations that led to McMahon stepping away from the company. He said,
“We all have poor decisions. Lord knows I’ve made my collection of poor choices.
“That doesn’t mean I’m not going to love somebody. There’s no way I can go on record & say I don’t love Vince McMahon.”
McMahon was backstage during last week’s RAW, his first time backstage at a WWE event since before his retirement.
