WWE has announced that John Cena, who has been off of WWE TV while taping the second season of his FOX series, American Grit, will return to SmackDown Live on December 27th.
As noted, Cena is scheduled to return to action at the December 26th live event at the world famous Madison Square Garden in New York, NY and is advertised for the SmackDown live events through January. It’s expected that he’ll work the Royal Rumble PPV event next month as well. However, it appears that Cena will be taking another break from WWE as he is not advertised for the the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event on February 12th in Phoenix, AZ at the Talking Stick Arena, which is the final WWE PPV event before WrestleMania 33 in Orlando Florida.
