On a recent edition of WWE’s “After the Bell” podcast, John Cena conveyed his trust in WWE about winding down his career.

Cena noted that WWE will do what’s best for business when it comes time for him to hang up his boots. He said,

There are a lot of different perspectives. Anyone else sitting here would probably craft a scenario where, ‘Oh, in my mind, the perfect thing is to do this, at this event, with this individual.’ I just want to do what’s best for WWE. That has been my order of operations since I walked in this building. It hasn’t changed. It’s my way of thinking, but it’s done me pretty well. When I’m courageous enough to express to those making choices, ‘Hey, this is it,’ I do what they tell me to do because I believe full faith that they’re doing what is best for business. Whenever it comes to an end, and it will, whatever is deemed the best thing for WWE is exactly what will be the perfect moment.”

Drew McIntyre will challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tomorrow at WWE Crown Jewel 2023.

In a recent interview with TNT Sports, McIntyre discussed his upcoming title match with Rollins and his plans to bring misery to his rival’s household. He said,

I feel very bad that I’m going to bring some more misery to the Rollins/Lynch household, but it’s all good. You know they’ve had success thus far, they’re doing just fine, be just fine in the future. But yeah, the old one-two punch is going to suck for them. Myself and Seth, you know, we always make sure we play the best performance possible on such a big stage on Crown Jewel like we have for the World title. To ensure the RAW title is the one that’s talked about after this event, we’re going to give everybody a banger they’ll be talking about for a while. And a moment where Drew McIntyre finally raises a ‘frickin’ world title in front of fans, that’s the ‘frickin’ they’ll be talking about. I can’t say the other word that I love so much. I’m Scottish.
