As reported last week here on eWN, John Cena’s return at Money in the Bank had a noticeable impact on WWE’s ticket sales. Now, a new report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has revealed just how big this impact has been.

Last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown was reportedly selling well, to begin with. But, Cena being added to the card improved sales with the event reaching 10,200 in attendance. Saturday’s house show in Pittsburgh drew 7,200, with 1,200 to 1,500 of these being attributed to Cena’s appearance. Cena also reportedly had a huge impact on both Sunday’s house show in Louisville and Monday’s episode of RAW. The show in Louisville sold an estimated 2,200 extra tickets sold after Cena was added to the card. Meanwhile,  the episode of RAW in Kanas City ended up with 7,700 in attendance after initially being at around 5,300 pre-Cena announcement.

John Cena is advertised to appear on tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, as well as a series of upcoming house shows in what WWE has dubbed “The Summer of Cena.”
