CM Punk was far from easy to work with during his tenure in WWE, John Morrison has claimed.
Punk hasn’t been seen in AEW since his explosive comments at the All Out post-show media scrum and was suspended for his role in the backstage fight.
It is believed that AEW will part ways with Punk, less than a year and a half after his return to wrestling in August 2021.
Speaking to Bootleg Universe, Morrison recalled working with Punk in WWE, and said that his difficulties backstage aren’t isolated to AEW alone.
“In some ways he just lashed out at the entire AEW roster. Whether they deserved it or not, I don’t know. From his point of view, they did.”
“He’s always had a temper when things don’t go his way.”
Addressing Punk’s injury suffered during All Out, Morrison did admit it must have been frustrating for Punk, which may have influenced his actions after the pay-per-view.
“He tore his upper tricep or something on the dive, … which is very frustrating.
“He’s frustrated because he’s got this big opportunity to carry the company, and he’s got this huge paycheck, and he tears his tricep and his foot.”
