Jon Moxley has been on quite a run in Pro Wrestling media since his WWE departure. Moxley has made an appearance on Chris Jericho’s Talk Is Jericho podcast as well as a interview with Flip The Strip.

However, the former superstar known as Dean Ambrose is back again with a two part interview with Wade Keller. During his appearance on “The Wade Keller Pro Wrestling Podcast”, Moxley revealed WWE Summerslam was supposed to end much differently.

The match outcome remained the same, however the booking of Braun Strowman’s failed cash in was booked different. Roman Reigns would defeat Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship.

Jon Moxley on how the booking was changed:

“How it ever went was Brock’s idea, Brock, comes in at 6 p.m. and changes everything. Vince is like, we are going to go with Brock’s idea. It made everyone else look stupid but Brock.”

What the original ending was supposed to be:

“SummerSlam this year the end of the show was supposed to be when the Shield returns,” Moxley revealed. “We were worried about it not being as impactful the next night. It still worked just as good. The end of SummerSlam was Roman vs. Brock, Braun comes out, looks like a doofus because he can’t figure out how to cash in.”
