Jonathan Gresham has asked for his release from Ring of Honor in a scathing tirade at company owner Tony Khan.
Gresham lost the ROH World Championship at Death Before Dishonor to Claudio Castagnoli, marking the Swiss wrestler’s first World title.
Fightful Select reports Jonathan Gresham has requested his release from ROH/AEW after “cussing out” Tony Khan backstage.
Gresham is reported to have been angry about the lack of communication with Khan, despite him being ROH World Champion at the time of Khan’s purchase of ROH.
The former Champion is also said to be furious about the length of his match at Death Before Dishonor.
The ROH World Title match was the first match on the main card and lasted 11:30, making it the second shortest match on the main card.
