Former ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham earned a PROGRESS World Title shot after defeating Alan Angels, Konosuke Takeshita, and Nick Wayne in a Fatal-Four Way match during the ‘Ric Flair’s Last Match’ event on Sunday night.
It was rumored that Gresham would step away from wrestling after allegedly having a heated conversation with AEW President Tony Khan before he lost the ROH World Championship at Death Before Dishonor, but many people didn’t really believe he’d be taking time off and said Gresham made the comments in the “heat of the moment.”
Gresham now will take on the current PROGRESS World Champion Chris Ridgeway.
