Jonathan Gresham had a rollercoaster of a week.
At ROH’s Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view event, Gresham lost the ROH Heavyweight Championship to Claudio Castagnoli in the opening match. The superstar was then rumored to have a heated conversation with AEW President Tony Khan before the show, which resulted in him allegedly quitting ROH and AEW. However, Gresham would appear at Starrcast V last night and earn a PROGRESS World Title opportunity.
During his appearance on “Highspots Superstore,” AEW star Eddie Kingston gave his opinion on Gresham and mentioned that he’s unsure about him.
“Gresham — I don’t know, man, he just rubs me the wrong way. I don’t know. I just have a bad feeling.”
Gresham was said to have requested his release before ROH Death Before Dishonor and was soon on his way to taking time off. The former ROH Champion now has a chance to earn another accolade with the PROGRESS World Title.
