Ahead of AEW Dynamite: Road Rager 2022, Lucha Express were riding high. Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus were the AEW Tag Team Champions heading in to the show. On that night’s show, they took on The Hardys and The Young Bucks in a triangle ladder match for the tag straps.
Things didn’t go Jungle Boy’s way on the night, in more ways than one. Not only did the Young Bucks capture the tag team titles, but Christian Cage turned on Jungle Boy and delivered a vicious Con-Chair-To to his one-time protégé. On Tuesday, Jungle Boy reflected on the occasion in a post on social media.
Posting to Twitter, Jungle Boy wrote: “This match was overshadowed by what happened immediately after, but it was one of my favorites. Feels like a whole different world now.”
