KAIRI became the first-ever IWGP Women’s Champion when she defeated Mayu Iwatani in the main event of NJPW x STARDOM Historic X-Over.
KAIRI beat Iwatani with a spinning back fist and a top rope elbow drop for the finish.
KAIRI agreed to defend the championship at Wrestle Kingdom 17 but did not specify who she’d be facing. Tam Nakano declared that she would battle KAIRI at the show.
