Former WWE Superstar Kairi Sane has said that she’s “grateful” for the good relationship she has with the company after leaving earlier this month.
Sane, a former NXT Women’s and WWE Women’s Tag Champion, parted ways with WWE after a near 6-year tenure, following a move back to Japan in mid-2020.
Speaking to Big Lobe, Sane said that despite her leaving she has a good relationship with WWE, saying:
“I’m just grateful that the relationship is so good, or that it’s been much better. Even after returning to Japan, I think it was unusual for me to prepare a special position.”
Sane returned to Japan to be closer to her husband and served as WWE’s ambassador overseas until the company closed its Japan offices in September 2021.
There had been talks of Sane returning for the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match, but that never happened during last month’s Premium Live Event.
