UPDATE: James “Kamala” Harris was taken off life support on Wednesday and is now breathing on his own. The WWE legend has been awake and alert enough to understand his family and doctors, who have been at his side this entire time. Doctors have been weaning him off the medication he was on post-surgery. As of now, he is unable to talk as there is still a tube in his mouth to assist him medically.

ORIGINAL: According to a series of Facebook posts from his stepdaughter, WWE legend James “Kamala” Harris is currently hospitalized in Oxford, Mississippi and is reportedly on life support. The stepdaughter noted that despite this, he has been showing signs of improvement.
Many of you likely remember Kamala in WWE as a monster heel, having feuded with the likes of Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant and others. As we’ve reported several times in the last few years, Kamala has been battling numerous health issues and lost both of his legs to diabetes. He also underwent stomach surgery a few years back.
