Kazuchika Okada bid farewell to Korakuen Hall ahead of his departure from New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Alongside Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tomohiro Ishii, Okada successfully defended their NEVER Openweight Six-Man Championships against TMDK’s Shane Haste, Mikey Nicholls, and Kosei Fujita.
In his tearful address, Okada expressed gratitude to the audience for their support over the past seventeen years and announced his decision to relinquish the championship after this final defense.
Okada’s tenure with NJPW will end after the ‘New Beginning’ events in Sapporo on February 23 and 24.
