Kendo Kashin was recently interviewed by Tokyo Sports (via Uproxx) and noted that he believes WWE released him due to his comments on the coronavirus. In a previous interview before his release, Kashin talked about not having health insurance.
He was working at the WWE Performance Center since August of last year. Kashin added that he couldn’t go back to Japan after WWE fired him due to issues with his work visa. He also believes that WWE having to cut so many talents and furlough employees will affect their future plans in Japan, such as a potential NXT Japan.
Kashin elaborated on why he thinks he was released from WWE. He pointed to an interview he did two weeks ago with Tokyo Sports. In the interview, he touched on Orlando and its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. He also said if he got it, it would hurt him financially as he doesn’t have health insurance.
