CM Punk may never hold championship gold as a professional wrestler again, but he did recently ‘win’ an award from Kevin Nash.
Punk has not been seen on AEW programming since All Out 2022 due to his post-show comments and the backstage fight.
During the latest episode of his Kliq This podcast, Nash named his award winners for 2022, and declared Punk the ‘Boo Boo Face of the Year.’
“I hate to beat a dead horse. I’m gonna go with our friend Phil. I’m not even gonna call him CM Punk anymore, cause he doesn’t work anymore.”
Nash isn’t alone with his views on Punk, with multiple top AEW stars including Chris Jericho reportedly working to block his return.
Punk has reportedly requested a buyout of his contract from AEW, and it has been claimed that the two sides are negotiating a non-compete clause.
