Former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens was written off WWE TV when Bobby Lashley viciously attacked him on Monday Night RAW. Owens has actually been dealing with some knee injuries and required surgery to repair the damage. Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer had reported that the full extent of “KO’s injury wouldn’t be known until he was opened up.
Earlier today on Twitter, Owens noted that he underwent double knee surgery. As of this writing, there is still no update on the severity of the injury. There’s also no indication on how long Owens will be sidelined from action. However, the initial timetable for his return was four to eight months.
Owens shared the following photo from his hospital room, showing both of his legs bandaged up:
“They had a 2 for 1 sale going at the surgery store!”

WWE commentator Corey Graves responded and offered Owens some words of encouragement:
“You look great. Like a modern day Boris Karloff. They remake everything these days, so you probably jumped the line to be the new Mummy.”
