This year’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event will emanate from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on January 28. Ahead of challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on Saturday night, Kevin Owens spoke to the San Antonio Express-News.
Owens looked back on re-signing with WWE in late 2021, stating how he could have never imagined that he’d be wrestling “Stone Cold” Steve Austin in the main event of WrestleMania just a few months later. He said,
“It’s just such an unbelievable situation. You know, it’s not something that was fathomable, even at the time when I re-signed. I could have never guessed that a few months later, I’d be wrestling Stone Cold in the main event of WrestleMania. It just goes to show that you can never know what to expect here.”
