Kevin Owens didn’t appear on last night’s episode of RAW even though WWE announced he would face Elias, Ezekiel, or Elrod. A report suggested that a “minor” situation involving Owens prevented him from appearing last night. Well, it seems the “minor” situation included an injury.
According to Pwinsider, a “minor injury” prevented Owens from appearing on the show. WWE promoted Owens’ match hours before the show started; however, they chose to book a Battle Royal match to determine one of the Money in the Bank ladder match spots. Owens sent out a tweet on Twitter regarding his absence last night, writing,
“I didn’t want to go to Texas so I didn’t go. Leave me alone.”
Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer did add that the situation regarding Owens was “not serious” but that he does not know whether he’ll be ready by Friday. As of this writing, there is still one remaining spot left in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
WWE Money in the Bank will air this Saturday on Peacock.
