UPDATE x 3: As reported over the weekend, WWE developmental wrestler Lio Rush caused some controversy after he posted the following tweet after the news of Emma’s WWE release broke: “I guess these are the things that happen when you’re not TRULY ready for [Asuka]”. Now, Kevin Owens, Taz, Samoa Joe and Mick Foley have chimed in. You can check out their tweets below:

One’s true nature is seen when they feel there are no consequences. Ones true character is seen when those consequences inevitably show up.

Maybe we should cut @itsLioRush some slack. He made a mistake. He feels terrible about it. He sincerely apologized. He’s human. Thanks.

For what it’s worth, multiple sources have confirmed to eWrestlingNews.com that Rush is said to have a “massive ego” and “rubs people the wrong way.” He’s also been known to go “off script” during matches so that he can get all his spots in. That likely has a lot to do with all the criticism of him over his tweet.

As previously reported, WWE developmental talent Lio Rush tweeted the following after the news of Emma’s WWE release broke earlier today, “I guess these are the things that happen when you’re not TRULY ready for @WWEAsuka ??”

ORIGINAL: Lio Rush tweeted a controversial and what looked to be a pretty disrespectful remark towards Emma following the news of her WWE departure. After the news broke, Rush tweeted the following: “I guess these are the things that happen when you’re not TRULY ready for @WWEAsuka ??”. He has since deleted the tweet and issued an apology, which you can see below:
