NWA announced that the team of AEW wrestlers KiLynn King and Velvet will be competing in the NWA Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament at NWA Empowerrr. They will join AEW superstar Leyla Hirsch on the card.

King/Velvet are now the third team announced for the tournament after The Hex (Allysin Kay & Marti Belle) and Heels on Heels (Sahara 7 & Renne Michelle) were previously announced for the tournament. There is still one team left to be announced for the tournament.
Also announced for the show was Thunder Kitty. She is the ninth competitor announced for their World Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s Gauntlet Battle Royale.
