Kofi Kingston announced on Instagram that he underwent surgery on Friday morning.
Last week, Kingston was pulled from the#1 contender match on WWE Friday Night SmackDown for an Intercontinental Title shot at WrestleMania 39 due to an ankle injury. He was replaced by Xavier Woods.
The hope was that he wouldn’t have to undergo surgery, but that the injury was too severe. He will likely miss WrestleMania 39.
