Last month at WrestleMania 35, WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle wrestled his final match for the company. He was defeated by Baron Corbin on “The Grandest Stage Of Them All.” Now, Angle has revealed his new role with the company.
Speaking to Wrestling Inc., the former Olympic Gold Medalist revealed he has signed a five-year deal with WWE. He will be working in both an on-screen role – likely as a manager – and producer backstage. Angle said he’d be helping Superstars put together some of their matches, something he thrives at:
“I’m going to help the wrestlers with their technique. I’m going to help them structure their matches. It’s something I’m very good at and I thought I’d be able to contribute to the company.”
