WWE Hall Of Famer and former Monday Night RAW General Manager Kurt Angle took to his Facebook page to share some sad news. It turns out, his 16-year-old niece, Mariani Aquil, has been abducted by her ex-boyfriend. Angle shared the news story on his Facebook page and asked fans to keep sharing it in an effort to find someone who has any knowledge on her whereabouts:
“Please continue sharing. Thank you all for your support. Uncle Kurt Loves you Mini. Come back home to us safely. Please lets find my niece.”
Per the report, Penn Hills police believe Aquil’s ex-boyfriend, 19-year-old Jermaine Laquay Rodgers, broke into Aquil’s home before assaulting her and forcing her into a red Sedan. This would be the second time he has abducted her in the past year. Last March, Rodgers was arrested for holding Aquil in his apartment against her will for four days in January of 2018.
Aquil said Rodgers physically prevented her from making contact with friends and family during that span, and also physically assaulted her. Rodgers was out of jail on probation when he abducted Aquil the second time.
UPDATE: Angle took to his Facebook in a follow-up post to announce that his niece, thankfully, has been found. The former WWE Champion thanked Pittsburgh Police for their persistence:
“My niece has been found. Just wanted to say thank you to all those who have prayed and have shared posts to help locate her. Thank you to the Pittsburgh Police for your persistence in finding my niece. My family is truly appreciative. Love you all. Godbless – K”
