After several weeks of rumors and speculation, Lance Archer has been officially announced as the newest member of the All Elite Wrestling roster. The company announced on Twitter today that he has signed a contract. Rumors were recently reported that the same attorney who handles trademarks for other wrestlers in the company filed for trademarks on behalf of Archer.
The former WWE, TNA and New Japan star has wrestled all over the world and his stock has risen considerably in the past year. He’s a former IWGP United States and Tag Team Champion with Davey Boy Smith, Jr. on three occasions. There is no word yet on if this deal allows him to continue working for New Japan, although we’ll keep you updated as new details become available.
