Last week, Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Sane is returning to Japan soon. WWE has known about Sane returning to Japan since May.
The idea before that last Sane vs. Nia Jax match, which is where Sane got thrown headfirst into the steel steps, was to do a career-ending injury angle with Sane at a later time before it was time for her to return to Japan.
Observer reports that there had been talk that once her contract was up, which is soon, she would wrestle for one more year in Japan and then retire from action. Sane signed a three year WWE deal back in March 2017.
The latest update comes from Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT, who notes Sane leaving WWE is not a lock.
It was noted that the reports on Sane are true, but her departure is not a done deal. WWE will likely make her another offer to stay, and a good offer at that.
