Ronda Rousey remains under a WWE contract, at least for now.
WWE confirmed to TMZ in January 2019 that her deal is slated to expire on 4/10/21. Thus, she has about six months left on the deal.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that “Rousey is still under contract and was expected to do WrestleMania in Los Angeles.
As noted, while Los Angeles was scheduled to host WrestleMania 37, recent reports have suggested WWE plans to move the event to Tampa, Florida due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Some are taking this as she should be expected to appear at this show, but just like other stars such as Brock Lesnar, if WWE can’t hold shows with fans then WWE doesn’t have any interest in bringing in big name stars.
