AEW stars who have significant others working in WWE are rumored to be the ones most interested in jumping to the competition.
In recent weeks, AEW has seen multiple notable departures, with Malakai Black being granted a “conditional release” and Buddy Matthews announcing a hiatus from wrestling.
When the Wrestling Observer’s Ryan Fredrick was asked about Miro possibly returning to WWE, he said that those with partners in WWE are most likely to leave AEW.
“Miro does not want to go back. The only guys that really want to go back are the ones who have significant others with the other company.”
Both Black and Matthews have partners in WWE, with Black being married to Zelina Vega and Matthews dating The Judgment Day’s Rhea Ripley.
AEW’s Andrade El Idolo is married to WWE’s Charlotte Flair, who hasn’t been seen since losing the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania: Backlash.
