Former TNA (Impact Wrestling) color commentator Don West has passed away at the age of 59. West faced a year-long battle with brain lymphoma, with the unfortunate news that the disease has led to the former voice of TNA Wrestling passing away.

The man most associated with Don West, Mike Tenay announced the tragic news via his Twitter page:

Just heard from wife Terri that our brother @DonWestDeals will be spending New Years in heaven. Terri said D-Dub finally had to tap out from his match with lymphoma. We bonded as soon as we met, both as broadcast partners and friends. Years of great moments both on and off camera.”

Don West served as the color-commentator alongside Mike Tenay from TNA’s inception in 2002, all the way through to August 2009.

All of us here at eWn express our sincere gratitude for Don West’s work, as well as sending our prayers and thoughts to West’s friends and family at this time.
