Lita Also Removed From WWE’s Pre-Shows – The Very Latest Updates

UPDATE: We reported yesterday that Jerry “The King” Lawler has been removed from WWE’s pre-shows. Lawler will now be used for “special events” only, such as the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. In an update on the story, WWE Hall of Famer Lita has also been removed from WWE’s pre-shows and is no longer under a full-time contract with the company.

While both Jerry Lawler and Lita are currently under WWE Legends contracts, they will only be brought in for special appearances from this point forward.

ORIGINAL: On Monday, several rumors surfaced online claiming that Jerry Lawler had been released by WWE. We sent an email to WWE’s PR team and they sent us the following response:

“Jerry Lawler has a Legends agreement with WWE, however, he will no longer regularly appear on our pre-shows. He will continue to host special events, including WWE’s annual Hall of Fame celebration at WrestleMania.”
