According to Fightful, here are some backstage news and notes from Friday’s empty arena edition of WWE SmackDown from the WWE Performance Center.

Multiple sources have described the SmackDown production as a “feeling out” process. As of Saturday, the plan for tonight’s RAW was to have a different feel than SmackDown.

A few dozen crew members were at the Performance Center to prepare for the show. Several wrestlers that weren’t on the broadcast were still brought to the Performance Center.

WWE NXT talent that weren’t at the show said they weren’t told if they should show up or not.

During the Israeli broadcast of WWE SmackDown, the matches were stopped during the commercial breaks. During one of the breaks, Michael Cole could be heard asking how everything sounds. Also during the break, the referee switched the tag ropes into different corners, and the teams switched too.

Triple H was originally scheduled to have very minimal involvement on-screen. Due to his chemistry and the social media reaction, the change was made on the fly.
