— It appears as though Low Ki is done with DGUSA for now. There is no drama between the two sides, but they have not been talking either. Low Ki has been working in New Japan. There are currently no plans for him for DGUSA, especially for WrestleMania weekend.
— A big Dragon Gate six man tag will take place on Sunday, April 7 before Wrestlemania. Gave Sapolsky hasn’t decided who will be in the match yet. There are also plans for Super Smash Brothers vs The Young Bucks, but that hasn’t been confirmed. The plan is for the Bucks to be like El Generico, an independent talent with some acclaim that can have great matches and bring awareness to DGUSA’s regulars.
— The EVOLVE tournament is beginning to take shape for April 5. Wrestlers “seeded” so far include Chuck Taylor, Ricochet and AR Fox. Taylor and Ricochet will get byes into the semifinals while Fox fights someone in a singles bout. That winner will meet Ricochet, while Taylor will meet the winner of a Freestyle match. The semifinal winners will compete to be the first ever EVOLVE champion.
— CIMA, Shingo, Akira Tozawa and EITA are confirmed for WrestleMania weekend. There will also be at least one new Japanese talent who has never been to the US.
— After Wrestlecon weekend, the promotion plans to get more dates to run regularly. They believe their worst problem in 2012 was not enough dates hurting interest in the promotion. They plan to run Flordia after WrestleCon and are seeking a permanent home in the NYC area.
— The WWNLive.com Roku channel has been designed and is being beta tested on Roku. The plan is to have it live by WrestleMania weekend.
— Rich Swann is back in Japan for Dragon Gate and will be there until Wrestlecon.
— DGUSA’s Open the Golden Gate 2012, voted the DGUSA/EVOLVE show of the year by fans, is $10 for the DVD at DGUSA.tv or iPPV at WWNLive.com with CIMA & Ricochet vs. Masaaki Mochizuki & Jimmy Susumu and PAC vs. Akira Tozawa as the top matches.
