Dr. Luther has officially signed on the line to join All Elite Wrestling.

After initially appearing in the now disbanded “Nightmare Collective” faction along with Brandi Rhodes, Awesome Kong and Mel, Luther made his AEW television debut on the January 8th episode of AEW Dynamite.

At the Landers Center in Southaven, Mississippi, The Nightmare Collective proudly unleashed their monster — Luther — and let him loose on the AEW roster.

The debut appearance for the decorated pro wrestling veteran would lead to additional appearances on AEW programming in the weeks that would follow.

On the February 26th episode of AEW DARK, Luther made his in-ring debut with the company.

The monster of The Nightmare Collective faction would square off against Sonny Kiss.

Luther defeated Kiss with relative ease in what was his first match that aired as part of AEW programming, as it was included as part of the 2/26 AEW DARK show that aired on the company’s official YouTube channel the following Tuesday after it was initially taped at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Kansas City, Missouri during that week’s AEW Dynamite television shoot.

Following this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite at the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, Chris Jericho took to social media to comment on Luther officially joining AEW after sharing a photo of the two together holding his contract and smiling in the empty arena before the show.

“After 30 years of riding the roads and taking bumps worldwide, Luther signed his first national US contract today with All Elite Wrestling,” wrote Jericho via his official Instagram page, before going on to reveal that Luther has signed with AEW as more than just an in-ring performer.

“Luther has impressed a lot of people over the last 4 months and finally was rewarded with the chance of a lifetime,” Jericho continued. “Not just in the ring but in the AEW on TNT office as well.”

After revealing the big news, Jericho shared a personal thought with fans about how he feels about “one of his closest friends” signing with AEW.

“Can’t think of anybody more deserving of this shot,” wrote the leader of The Inner Circle. “And even though he is one of my closest friends, be warned…he’s gonna TEAR OFF SOME FACES in #AEW! #PrayForBlood #OriginalDeathDealer #LovelyLads.”

In addition to the Instagram post from Jericho, the AEW newcomer himself also posted on IG about the big news before the AEW DARK and AEW Dynamite taping from Salt Lake City began on Wednesday evening.

“AEW,” Luther’s post started. “The Original Death Dealer. Salt Lake City…. The shows loaded, and about to go down!! #aewrestling #aew #aewdynamite #aewdark.”

Check out spoiler photos of Luther from the AEW DARK taping in Salt Lake City on 3/11, as well as the aforementioned photo of Chris Jericho and Luther showing off his new AEW contract in the empty Maverik Center in Utah below.
