Maki Itoh Believes She Will Be Retired In Five Years Time

Fans of Maki Itoh should enjoy the 27-year-old wrestler while they can as she doesn’t plan on wrestling forever.

Itoh, a member of the idol group Tokiwoikiru, began her wrestling career in 2013 and would sign with Tokyo Joshi in 2016.

Speaking to Fightful via a translator, Itoh was asked where she sees herself in five years time, and answered “probably retired.”

Before that happens though, the Japanese wrestler wants to reach “peak Maki Itoh” and plans on getting married after her retirement.

Itoh was also asked about her popularity in the west and said that creating an “artificial scarcity” is important to keep “the magic of Maki Itoh.”

Itoh’s most recent match came at GCW Ransom earlier this month, where she teamed with Rina Yamashita & Veny to defeat Billie Starkz, Janai Kai & Sawyer Wreck.
