As you know by now, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Samoa Joe, Mickie James and others were released from WWE yesterday. According to a report from Fightful, many people backstage were “shocked” over Billie Kay’s release and didn’t see it coming.
When questioned why the release was so shocking, multiple people noted that she had just appeared at WrestleMania and was extremely well-liked backstage. The same can be said for Peyton Royce.
According to reports, Kevin Dunn reportedly didn’t “get” Kay. It is said that he saw a ceiling for her in WWE.
