Mark Henry is the latest to weigh in on the Lio Rush controversy via Busted Open Radio. Henry took exception to Rush telling Sean Ross Sapp that he felt opposed to handing the wrestlers water during a European tour, saying that when he first started in 1996, it was his job to look after Yokozuna. Mark Henry said that it is not a race problem, it’s an ego problem.
“It’s not a race issue. It’s an ego issue. Who are you? Nobody is exempt from being respectful to the business and paying homage to the guys drawing money. We all have done it. Steve Austin did it. The Rock did it. You better than The Rock? Get the hell out of here!”
Lio Rush is no stranger to controversy as he has pretty much been in the center of it, in one form or another, ever since he was signed.
The plot keeps thickening and one has to wonder if all of this controversial press will reflect negatively on Lio Rush going forward as a character.
