Mascara Dorada’s first post WWE dates have been announced.
The Mexican wrestler, widely known in his home country before joining WWE as Gran Metalik, will appear for GCW in February.
The company revealed that the former CMLL and NJPW athlete will work their events on February 4th, 19th and 26th against opponents that have yet to be announced.
The wrestler had asked for his WWE release and obtained it on November 4th after being unhappy with his status for a long time. As of this writing, Dorada’s 90 non-compete clause has yet to expire. In WWE, he made it to the finals of the Cruiserweight Classic tournament, but he was never pushed as a strong talent even within the division.
